Brief Description:
I’m a long time listener (since 2002) & Preston & Steve Girl (since 2007!) looking to get some community support from fellow WMMR/Preston & Steve fans for my charity hike at the end of this month. My husband Dan was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer on 6-29-2018 and lost his battle on 1-23-2019. Pancreatic cancer has a 5-year survival rate of just 9% and there are very few options for patients diagnosed with this disease, especially if the diagnosis is in the later stages of cancer metastasis.
My husband Dan was a rocker at heart, having taught himself to play guitar from a very young age and was in various metal bands over the years. He was 39 when he was diagnosed and did not make it to see his 40th birthday. I am partnering with Project Purple, an amazing pancreatic cancer non-profit that supports patients and their families battling this disease through both financial aid and research funding. It would be amazing if you all could share my page to help me meet my fundraising goal and continue to look for better options for those affected by this cancer.
