Get ready for the BEST 2 days of Winter at Montage Mountain, featuring Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic and Mountainfest 2026 featuring Sugar Ray and Wheatus.

Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic spectacle features hundreds of people racing massive sleds built from only cardboard, tape, glue and string down the mountain. Then, following the cardboard chaos, stick around as we crank up the volume with The World’s Largest 80’s Party featuring M80’s, a tribute to MTV playing all the radical hits you know and love! It’ll be an afternoon of big hair, bigger vibes, and nonstop fun on the snow.

Sled registration will begin in January 2026

Mountainfest promises to be another stellar day at Montage: Saturday, March 7th kicks off with the fan favorite pond skimming competition, then, making their way to the Mountainfest stage and headliners of this year’s fest… Sugar Ray and Wheatus. On Friday March 6th:

• Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic kicks off at 10am,  Immediately following the Cardboard Classic (around 1pm): The World’s Largest 80’s Party featuring M80’s, a tribute to MTV (Free to attend both this year).  Watch the Classic, stick around for the concert!

On Saturday March 7th:

• A live DJ kicks off the day at 11am outside the lodge, with the Pond Skimming event starting at noon. Wheatus is on the Mountainfest Main Stage at 2:30pm, Sugar Ray is headlining at 5pm. A massive fireworks display begins immediately following, around 6:40pm.

• VIP Packages – VIP is the ONLY 2-Day Pass Option.  Includes skiing, drink tickets, t-shirt, swag, laminate, VIP access areas, front stage reserved viewing area and more.  $249 for VIP, awesome value!
• GA Concert-Only Tickets – $42 general on sale period, door price increase to $50! Grab a GA Ticket if you just want to attend any of the concerts on Saturday.
• Lift Tickets – A Saturday lift ticket (ski, snowboard, snowtubing) is valid entry to the concert on Saturday.
• Montage Mountain Season Pass – Any winter Montage Mountain Season Passholder can enter the event free with their Season Pass.
