Project HOME’s 14th Bring Philly HOME

Project HOME’s 14th Bring Philly HOME Event Invites Greater Philadelphia Region to Come Together to End and Prevent Homelessness

Each year, the multi-day fundraising and networking event brings together concerned citizens and regional leaders to advance Project HOME’s mission of preventing and ending chronic street homelessness in Philadelphia. And this year, Bring Philly HOME will consist of three in-person, community-wide events open to the public and designed to generate awareness and impact around the issue of homelessness. They include:

Community Volunteer Day: Saturday, October 1
Project HOME welcomes our volunteers to a Community Volunteer Day on Saturday, October 1. Volunteers are invited to continue our work to partner with our neighbors in the 19134 zip-code to break the cycle of poverty and enable all to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. Registered volunteers will be provided tools, PPE, and other supplies for the street opportunity as well as a short safety tutorial on waste in the Kensington community.

The Race HOME: Benefiting Project HOME: Saturday, October 8
The 2nd annual Race HOME will take place on Saturday, October 8. You can participate one of three ways to help raise awareness of Project HOME’s mission to end and prevent chronic street homelessness.

  • 5k Race at Lloyd Hall, along Kelly Drive, in Philadelphia
  • 1 mile Family Walk at Lloyd Hall
  • Participate in any outdoor wellness activity from anywhere!

This event will focus on the important role physical and mental wellness has in an individual’s journey towards permanent and supportive housing.

Bring Philly HOME 2022 Celebration: Wednesday, October 12
All are welcome as Project HOME and its Rising Leaders Committee celebrates its 14th Bring Philly HOME celebration with a special in-person event on Wednesday, October 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the beautiful Masonic Temple at One North Broad Street in Philadelphia.

The event will introduce the inaugural SPARK (Service, Partnership, and Radical Kindness) Award, which will be presented this year to Joyce Hagan, who has given steadfast and selfless service to individuals experiencing homelessness.
