DESCRIPTION:
White Dog Cafe Glen Mills is offering the public the opportunity to immortalize their favorite pup with a personalized painting that will hang in the restaurant. Currently, the gallery, located in the front of the restaurant, includes 52 custom paintings purchased by guests prior to the restaurant opening, in an array of sizes. The works are created by local artist Jay McClellan who is donating half the fee of each of the paintings to Brandywine Valley SPCA and Alpha Bravo Canine, a local organization which provides service dogs free of charge to former military with PTSD.

In October, White Dog Glen Mills presented a check Alpha Bravo Canine and Brandywine Valley SPCA each with a check for $13,195 monies raised from the original 52 works. The portraits have been so “pup-ular” with guests at White Dog Glen Mills, and the restaurant received many requested that the gallery be expanded to include additional paintings. Starting November 10, 2020, there will be an additional 30 – 20” by 20” portraits available for purchase, pups will be immortalized in a portrait that hangs at the restaurant with the dogs’ name and hometown. Guests can purchase them for themselves or give them as the perfect holiday gift this season.
