It's International Louie Louie Day (April 11th). It marks the birthday of Richard Berry, who penned "Louie Louie" back in 1955. He released it in 1957 and a version by the Kingsmen gained popularity in 1963, and it's been a pop-rock staple ever since. Learn more history on the song here.
