Halloween Haunt at Dorney Park is open now, on select dates through October 28th.

Halloween Haunt at Dorney Park is the place to be this season.

Spooky Season is officially here! With the cooler weather fast approaching and Halloween a little over a month away, it’s time to go get scared! The Tri-State area is loaded with super fun, and scary, haunted attractions and events throughout the month of October, but now is the time to go check them out!

I went up to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown last weekend to check out their infamous Halloween Haunt. The park is packed with all sorts of spooky attractions, including 7 mazes, 4 scare zones, and undead entertainment at every turn. Not only that, but you can also hop on some of their most thrilling rides, under the pale moonlight.

I figured that I would start off with an easy one, the Ferris Wheel. I wanted to check out the breathtaking views of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom aglow in all of its spooky majesty. From there, I was feeling something a good bit faster, so I decided to take a ride on Possessed, a dueling-tower suspended impulse coaster. The coaster twists 360 degrees as we ascended 185 feet up one end of the massive structure then rise at a 90-degree angle in reverse at the opposite end. It was a ton of fun! Check out the video below.

Possessed Ride at Dorney Park’s Halloween Haunt

After Possessed, it was time to take a walk through Dorney Park and immerse myself in all of the scary attractions that they had to offer. So many cool things to see and experience. The Hollow captures the spirit of Halloween with dazzling decor and eye-catching pumpkin displays of all shapes and sizes.

The Roadside Stop & Chop, Necropolis, the Tourist Trap and Blood on the Bayou were among the super fun and super scary haunted mazes at Dorney’s Halloween Haunt that, thankfully, I survived and made it out alive. And make sure you take a trip through CarnEVIL, where The Clowns are outcasts, rejected and let go from a former show that they have resided with before, wreaking havoc and turmoil wherever they go. Serving up tricks that make even the bravest of men jump and tremble, and treats that have been rotting for some time, making those with even the strongest of stomachs queasy.

The Park’s decor is worth the trip alone. There are so many cool Halloween art installations and exhibits on the grounds like The Port of Call & Dystopia. Their volcano-like fountain has been turned blood red, and the Jack-in-the-Box is definitely worth a photo-op! And make sure you check out their latest attraction, Ghost in the Machine!

Dorney Park’s Halloween Haunt is open select dates from now until October 28th. It’s a MUST see for any fan of the spooky season… and roller coasters!
