The WMMR winners rocked The Preston & Steve Show Side Stage at MMRBQ 2024.
The seventeenth annual MMRBQ was one of the best so far with headliner, The Offspring ending the celebratory day of rock & roll. The crowd filled Freedom Mortgage Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden NJ, darting back and forth between sets on the main stage and the lively Preston & Steve side stage. It is our third year setting up side stage at the MMRBQ, and we certainly made our presence with the performances throughout the day.
After Jersey Calling opened the day on the main stage, the audience advanced to our side stage, where Jacky Bam Bam kicked off his DJ Set. The winners of the Side Stage Karaoke Contest followed. They were split into two sets, the first included performances of “I’m the Only One”, “Don’t Stop Believin’’” and “Welcome to the Jungle”.
After Silvertide rocked the main stage, Preston & Steve’s live band Karaoke continued. This time the crowd got covers of Part Benatar, Buckcherry, and 30 Seconds To Mars.
Later in the evening, coming from P.O.D.’s main stage set, people gathered around the Preston & Steve Side Stage to watch Froggy live. The band, famous for their song, “7-Eleven Nachos”, has a wonderful relationship with our crew, and has previously made an appearance on the P&S stage two years ago. This time around, Froggy had revamped their live show, with new songs to play, even opening their show with the famous Preston & Steve Friday Song. They drew crowds with their newer music, and unique voices. Between songs, the band thanked the audience and Preston & Steve for the chance to again share their music live.
Before our side stage performances wrapped up, Jacky Bam Bam came up again for one more DJ Set. With the support and popularity of the P&S side stage, you can be sure to see it at next year’s MMRBQ!
