The generous folks at Comcast were one of our winners of the Camp Out For Hunger Business Challenge last year. Their donations earned them a live broadcast from WMMR, so Pierre Robert and Pancake set up shop in the Concourse of the Comcast building on JFK Boulevard, and had a great time hanging with all of you!

Get your donations ready for Camp Out For Hunger 2023, happening November 13th through the 17th at Xfinity Live in South Philly.

More about the 2023 Business Challenge:

Subaru of America is challenging local businesses, groups and organizations to step up and donate to Preston & Steve’s Camp Out For Hunger 2023.

This challenge is geared to help increase donations from businesses to help families facing food insecurity. Those families that have to decide to pay their bills and don’t have quite enough money for the groceries they need for the week. Your company can make a huge impact in helping defeat hunger.

There are incentives for the largest donations, but the true reward is knowing you made a difference for someone in need.

  • The largest donation wins a live broadcast from The Preston & Steve Show.
  • 2nd largest gets a live broadcast from Pierre Robert at your place of business.
  • 3rd largest gets a $20,000 advertising schedule for Q1 of 2023 on WMMR.
  • NEW for 2023: All business challenge participants – no matter the size of your donation- will be entered to win an in-studio visit with The Preston & Steve Show for your employees. On a mutually agreeable date, we’ll invite employees from the randomly selected winner’s business to be in studio for a Preston & Steve Show live broadcast here at MMR, including breakfast and photos after the show.

Donations benefit Philabundance to help them fight hunger. Visit Philabundance.org to learn more about their mission.

From roughly 10:30am to somewhere around 3 (we call it Pierre Standard Time) weekdays Philadelphia rocks with (and loves) Pierre Robert on WMMR. Pierre Robert began his illustrious career at the pioneering progressive rock station KSAN, in his hometown San Francisco, but it’s through his uninterrupted 42-year tenure at Philadelphia‘s legendary WMMR that he’s made his mark. One of the city’s most recognizable celebrities will write about being at the center of its live music scene and greeting his legions of fans as if personal friends in the smallest clubs and largest stadiums.
