We put out a call for MMRBQ Side Stage Karaoke Contestants, and geez, were we blown away by the feedback. If you have not checked out all of the contestants, then you are missing out. All 50+ of them ROCK!

Now it’s time for the impossible challenge of narrowing down the field to ten. If it was up to us, we would have had everyone perform, but time constraints don’t allow that! We appreciate each and every person who entered and everyone who cast a vote!

Each one of the ten winners will sing on The Preston & Steve Side Stage with MUSICIAN IMPOSSIBLE, our official live-karaoke band. They will also receive a 4-pack of MMRBQ tickets.

We hope that everyone attending the MMRBQ will stop by the The Preston & Steve Side Stage from 1:15pm and 4:00pm, between main stage sets. The official times will be announced later this week.

If you don’t have tickets yet, you can grab them now at Ticketmaster.com. P.O.D., Silvertide, Sleep Theory, MMR’s Local Shots Artist Jersey Calling will be rocking the main stage that day. With The Warning, Nothing More, Halestorm and The Offspring rounding out the night.

So here it is, the official list of singers who will be show off their singing chops at the biggest MMR Concert Event of the year: 

• JT Morgan | Folsom, PA

  Just a guy that sings sometimes….with a dog that likes to hump me while doing so, evidently. Also, Casey, I’m the dad of the little girl you met at a personal appearance at Rita’s…who wants you to be her Godfather when the current one dies… 

• Nick Passio | Lincoln University, PA

  I was the singer of Victory in Numbers, a Philly pop punk band who was a guest on Preston and Steve years ago. We opened for OK Go at a p and S sponsored show at the electric factory as well. I love singing but don’t do it much anymore. Love you guys and thanks for the years of entertainment.  

• Jennifer Matton | Hatboro, PA

  I recently became an empty nester when my 4th child left for college. I discovered Karaoke at my favorite hometown watering hole the Blue Bar in Warminster, PA. My youngest daughter played bass for School of Rock, and that’s what lit the fire for me to try auditioning for a band. Through that, I became the co-lead singer of Old School Saints. But I still love to Karaoke every Wednesday night with my Blue Bar family! In my day job, I am a nurse. I’ve never met a microphone I didn’t like or a crowd that didn’t get me hype. I love being on stage !!  

• Mike McCarter | Newark, DE

  My name is Mike McCarter. I front the band Leadfoot out of Northern Delaware. Been singing my whole life, and would absolutely love to be a part of this!! I’ve had the pleasure of singing with some of the Musician Impossible guys at Tom & Jerry’s in recent years. Killer band!! Married (26 years) father of 2, who has a passion for music. I love doing what I do. Thank you for the opportunity. MMR ROCKS!!  

• Lisa Corcoran | Glenolden, PA

  I’m 51 yrs old. I love singing. I love spending time with my family. I love camping, cruising and just living life! I’m a big fan of Preston and Steve! Go Birds!!! 

• christina rings | Abington, PA

  Abington, PA I’m Christina I’m 33 I love singing. It’s my passion and I love to share it with everyone.  

• clare mckernan | Philadelphia, PA

  My name is Clare Mairead, I’m 24 years old from Northeast Philadelphia! I sing lead vocals in up and coming traditional heavy metal band BREAKKER, and we just released our first EP. Women are criminally underrepresented in heavy metal, and I wanna inspire more girls to get out there and do the thing they love! This would be such an awesome opportunity to reach a broader audience for my band; women belong in heavy metal!  

• Nancy Callaghan | Haddon Heights, NJ

  My name is Nancy and I love singing and going out to Karaoke nights with my friends. I also love trivia nights and horror/scary movies. Just getting up on stage would be as much fun.   

• Erica Valenti | Brookhaven, PA

  I’m Erica from Delco. I’ve been singing for just about my whole existence. I sing in a duo called The Outliers. I’d love to sing on the side stage and show yal what I got. Vote for me! I absolutely love the show that WMMR put ls on every year and would love to be apart of it.  

• Anthony Scanish | Collingswood, NJ

  My name is Anthony Scanish, I’m 29 born and raised in Collingswood NJ. Lived outside of Philly my whole life. Been listening to WMMR my entire life! I sing for a cover band and would love to sing for Preston and Steve!
