  • Michael Sweeney | Parkside, PA

Mike Sweeney Parkside, PA, 56 yrs old .. I’m a Rock n Roll Animal… born n raised in Delco bitches ..  I died of a heart attack for 30 seconds on September 29, 2019 .. I’ve always wanted to sing on an arena stage .. I hope it’s one of the many reasons I was brought back

  • Laura Cundey } Williamstown, NJ

I’ve been singing in choruses since I was a kid, but was always too shy to try out for solos or really put myself out there so I was always just a background singer. After the pandemic, the first night my friends and I decided to go back out into the world, we ended up at a bar that was doing a karaoke night. I was talked into singing and remembered how much I loved it. We’ve been going to karaoke almost weekly since and I’ve finally gotten my confidence up enough to perform in front of large crowds, even ones with a couple hundred people. Performing at MMRBQ has been a dream since the side stage started and it would be amazing to get the opportunity to sing up there.

  • Tiffany Kaye | Levittown, PA

Hiii all!! I come from a musical family, and singing has been part of my life for over 30 years now! I enjoy writing and singing, alone or with my bandmates! Music has always been a release..and it surely seems to cure all my troubles..or at least soothe them just a bit! I’m giving this contest a shot, because I love classic rock and WMMR…and I might be a big girl, but I also have a big voice that loves to shine! I looove the feel of a crowd, the rush, the intensity…it’s awesome! Being on stage with a band is what I enjoy, and to get the chance to do this with WMMR and the crew, would be a once in a lifetime dream! Go ‘head and grab your hookah and take a whimsical journey through Wonderland and listen to my version of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit”! Vote for me…I would definitely love to represent Bucks County! 🙂

  • Saddie Waters | Newark, DE

I was born to be a Rockstar, but I became a wife and mom to the most fantastic 8 year old in the world instead. Because I don’t tour with a rock band, I’m a rockstar on the local karaoke stage in Delaware whenever I have the chance! If you vote me on the stage this year, I will bring my son with me to watch him mom perform on stage. It would be his first MMRBQ!

  • Alister Virkler | Norristown, PA

Alister Virkler was born and raised in the suburbs of Philly. He currently works at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and is applying for medical school in hopes of becoming a pediatric neurologist. He’s had a love for music and performing since an early age. With high rock vocals and the stage presence to match, he’s ready to rock the MMRBQ Karaoke stage for the second year in a row!!

  • Xixa Gesner | Newark, DE

I’m just a former theater kid turned small Entertainment company owner where I fulfill my dreams of the stage through being a KJ/DJ. From church to weddings to nursing homes, BBQ’s and local bars I’ll sing just about anywhere. I’m a boy mom (26 & 16) and in the last few years have been able to incorporate more time to being out singing (off duty) and hanging out with friends. My musical tastes range from crooners to singer songwriters, to rock, country and more. Music is its own kind of healing therapy and these days it just seems we could all use a little of that. It’s just the coolest opportunity to be able to perform for such a large crowd. I live my rock star life 3-4 min at a time at work but THIS would be a whole different level!

  • Elizabeth Iezzi | Philadelphia, PA

My name is Lizzie and I’ve lived in the Philly metro my whole life and have been a passionate karaoke fiend since I was 5 years old. I’m drawn to goth, new wave, and rock, and I love showcasing my hard-core 80s belting skills. Performing is my way of connecting with people and bringing my energy and passion to the stage. This contest is a great chance for me to share my love for music & karaoke with the MMRBQ crowd. Plus I was  an intern for Preston & Steve in 2011!

  • Nicholas Mcgrath | Ridley, PA

My name is Nick McGrath. Father of 3 up and coming rockers. Husband to the most beautiful and amazing woman on the planet. Just thankful for music and every chance I get to perform.

  • Seven D'Amico | Browns Mills, NJ

I’ve been told im quite an inspiration to everyone I meet. Im the mother of 2 amazing young adults, one with autism. I spread positivity and share my medical journey on tiktok with a very rare inherited cancer. When im not being a complete goofball with friends and family, I enjoy creating art and music in my spare time. I have been doing karaoke for many years. Both with live bands and monitors. I love bringing joy to those who love music as much as I do. It has been a dream of mine to share my voice with the world and I would like to thank WMMR for this opportunity.

  • Paul Parmelee | Havertown, PA

You already know I am the biggest P&S fan! I apolo — gize for the video quality, my buddy made this as a joke years ago after we had a karaoke machine at a party, in all seriousness I would happily crush some Johnny Cash, Elvis, or Brandy (You’re A Fine Girl) for everyone in Camden. I’m a camera man for WHYY and am actually nominated for 3 Emmys this year, and the ceremony is in Pittsburgh on the same damn day as the MMRBQ. Having to sing would definitely help me decide what to do that day

  • Eric Ott | Schwenksville, PA

I’m Eric Clayton Ott from Schwenksville, PA. I’m 31 years old and enjoy music, whether it’s going to concerts, collecting records, or listening to the radio. I drive truck for a living, delivering stone from quarries. Singing live band karaoke at the MMRBQ would be a spectacular experience!

  • Jillian McCormick | Ambler, PA

I’ve been a singer my whole life and it would be a dream to perform on stage at mmrbq!! I’m also looking to join a band so this could help me get out there!

  • JT Morgan | Folsom, PA

Just a guy that sings sometimes….with a dog that likes to hump me while doing so, evidently. Also, Casey, I’m the dad of the little girl you met at a personal appearance at Rita’s…who wants you to be her Godfather when the current one dies…

  • Deana Landis | Pottstown, PA

Single Mom of 4 1/2 kids (I have a bonus child who came as a teenager and stayed family) and 4 cats! My kids, my cats, my friends, and some of my family members are my life and why I work hard…of course, now that my kids are older I get to play hard too…and karaoke is a big part of that play! I started when I was 39…afraid to do it alone, so a friend had to do it with me. I kept going back, feeling more confident each time. It soon became the best form of therapy I have ever had! Ever since I can remember I dreamed of singing of stage. Self doubt and fear of being criticized by others made think I could never be good enough to sing in any stage, an event such as this was only something I could ever dream of. So I was the cheerleader for others and let them be the stars! Now…I want to finally show my kids that even if you aren’t perfect, even if there are those who are going to think you aren’t good enough…absolutely nothing beats a failure but a try!

  • Darian Wilson | Townsend, DE

I’m a single mom of three who has always had a passion for music. I used to sing every day, until I developed asthma. It’s taken years of practice to try and rebuild my voice to where I’m proud of it, so submitting this video was really difficult for me. But I’m here to shoot my shot, so here we are. Enjoy this dumb video I recorded in my car while driving around

  • Brad Noecker | Stowe, PA

I love singing with The Mystic Rituals, they are a great bunch of guys that I get to preform all the great classic songs of our youth with.

  • Chris Grubb | Philadelphia, PA

A little car – capella for you!

Post Malone – Dead at the Honkey Tonk.

Lots of Dumb Bitches out on the road today…

  • Laura Knight | Wilmington, DE

Hi. I’m 40 year old single mom of 3 boys and a full time teacher and part time waitress. I sing once a month at old people karaoke. This video is all I have because it’s an 82 year old lady filming it. So I actually uploaded this horrible video to my YouTube account just so I can enter this contest. I REALLY want to sing at the RBQ! I CAN sing especially if you drink a little alcohol before listening to me. I’m full of energy and would put on a good show! Turning 40 bummed me out and I know this would be an experience of a lifetime! I am just a mom and teacher and nobody special but it would be cool to feel like somebody for a night. I’ll sing whatever and you won’t regret picking me as one of the contestants!

  • Cyn Ewers | Ridley Park, PA

HI there! I am a 45yo Mom of 2 teens, work for myself. I am the lead singer of a local horror punk band called The Geriatrics, under the moniker of Nurse Diesel. I was formerly a student and participant of the adult band camp program at Let There Be Rock School. I have always had an interest in singing, especially punk, metal, and some traditional pop here and there. I learned about the side stage audition through several of my friends and thought I would give it a whirl! I have always been told I could be the next big thing, so lets find out! I think it would be the logical next step in getting my name and my band’s name out there. I have always wanted to try out for something big, like the Voice, or another singing show, however, work and home life keep it from being in the cards. I would love for others to be able to hear me sing, outside of the local bars. Plus, I have a lot of friends attending this year, and maybe even more if I get selected! My husband and I have always been fans of WMMR, The Preston and Steve Show, and the DJ Jacky Bam Bam!

  • Kyle Byrnes | Philadelphia, PA

Born in South Jersey and currently live in South Philly. Have played guitar, bass and save in various bands. It was either this song or one the Tiger King wrote. Lol  I’ve never played anything more than a small bar, so it’d be pretty cool to play a legit stage and show and get to feel that energy.

I love doing what I do. Thank you for the opportunity. MMR ROCKS!!

  • Jennifer Matton | Hatboro, PA

I recently became an empty nester when my 4th child left for college. I discovered Karaoke at my favorite hometown watering hole the Blue Bar in Warminster, PA. My youngest daughter played bass for School of Rock, and that’s what lit the fire for me to try auditioning for a band. Through that, I became the co-lead singer of Old School Saints. But I still love to Karaoke every Wednesday night with my Blue Bar family! In my day job, I am a nurse. I’ve never met a microphone I didn’t like or a crowd that didn’t get me hype. I love being on stage !!

  • Erica Valenti | Brookhaven, PA

Riley also performs with several Philly-area theatre troupes at The Kimmel Center, Music Theater Philly, Upper Darby Summer Stage and her former school Girard Academic Music Program, and just wrapped up her 22nd musical! She is a Broadway triple threat, as she is an accomplished vocalist, dancer and actress. Riley is a Vocal Major at The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA). She is a female tenor, which is quite rare and considered a superpower in the vocal community. This would be such an amazing opportunity to show Philadelphia that female fronted Rock & Roll lives on!!

  • David Butler | Frenchtown, NJ

My name is Dave. I’m 43 and just started singing and making videos with my son (LittleBear) . I’ve shared almost 100 videos on Facebook and Instagram after chronic Lyme disease almost took my life away from him last year. It caused everything from psychiatric disorders, MS, parkinsonsonian syndrome and finally ALS symptoms. I started singing after doctors gave me 1 year to live or be in a wheelchair in February 2023. Here I am 18 months later after finally finding my root cause and I’m thriving. I now make my videos to bring awareness to dark emotional real world stuff like childhood trauma, chronic illness, mental illness and suicide. I am a huge advocate in the field and help hundreds of people in different ways including starting a podcast with ProjectLyme.org to help Fathers suffering from Lyme disease. I just want everyone to know the truth about what is actually happening in our world. 3/4 of my life was taken but now I’m alive and ready to Conquer everything that was stolen from me!!! ITS NEVER TOO LATE!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!
