Meet Philadelphia’s own NITRO NITRA, MMR’s Local Shots Artist of the Month.

NITRO NITRA is the front woman of her dynamic rock band. Having spent a long period of her life in repetitive loops of mental bondage and addiction. Nitro found a way to break free and transcend the conditioned cycles that kept her from reaching her full potential.

NITRO NITRA and her Kingsmen released their newest EP The Rock Revolution Experience, in April of 2024.

Influenced by the retro hard and classic rock sounds of a timeless era, this band also adds a modern twist to their original music.

The Band members include:

Scott Brady; Lead Guitarist

Jimi Church; Rhythm Guitar

Rod Cope; Bass

Johnny Zabo; Drums

and the front woman Nitro!

The band and their song Train, were also featured on NBC’s American Song Contest in April of 2022 and they finished out the next year headlining The Lady Bug Music Festival!

Their performances have garnered the attention of Ni-fans throughout the world, comparing Nitro to Tina Turner but with a harder edge.

With drums that bring thunder, guitars that eject lightning, and vocals that won’t quit, this band leaves a mark on every stage they touch.

• "Rock Revolution"

  Since Nitro found her voice and liberation in singing rock n roll, it was inevitable that a song like “Rock Revolution” be birthed through her. Nitro’s lyrics tell the story of how Nitro found her freedom through rock ‘n roll by incorporating well-known rock band references and lyrics of the past that evoke a trip down memory lane for the listener! This song pays homage to the rock gods of the past and present!

• "Love Won't Wait"

  Another jewel on the EP is “Love Won’t Wait.” It is full of energy and power. This banger starts out calm, but then erupts into a perfect storm!

• "Tell Me Tonight"

  “Tell Me Tonight,” also on the EP, is a song where Nitro really lets you know who she is vocally. The heavy guitar sound and her powerhouse vocals protrude through the dynamics of the song, highlighting the epic drama that this band is all about!

• Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
