With Memorial Day Weekend upon us and school’s wrapping up for the summer, it’s time to find some fun & affordable things to do around the area! The Jersey Shore is always a great place to go, but it takes a bit to get to, especially if you live in PA/Delco. As it turns out, Delaware County, Pennsylvania is home to many beautiful parks and recreation areas.

Here are a few of the best parks & recreational areas in Delco:

Ridley Creek State Park

Ridley Creek State Park is a 2,606-acre park that offers hiking, biking, fishing, camping, and more. It is located in Media, Pennsylvania.

Ridley Creek State Park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. The park has over 13 miles of hiking trails, as well as biking and equestrian trails. There are also several fishing areas, a campground, and a picnic area. The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset, including the restrooms in picnic area #7 and #17.
