HAPPY HALLOWEEN! It’s that time of year when once again we horror movie fanatics continue what we…well, have been doing all year anyway which is watch horror movies. Yes, I know that seems confusing, but it’s really not because Halloween gives us a seasonal pass, an extra boost, if you will, to amp up the horror gluttony by breaking out everything from the classics such as “Halloween,” “The Exorcist,” “Night of the Living Dead,” “The Evil Dead” to obscure Japanese horror movies and even stuff shot by your neighbor with the pit in his basement.
Now, something that has become a bit of a tradition on The Preston & Steve Show every Halloween is the release of my annual horror movie suggestion list. And while it goes by different names often within the same paragraph, it is always a personal list from one horror fanatic - me - to another horror fanatic - you.
And so, it is in that spirit - get it? - that I bring you “Steve’s Horror Movie Thing 2022!”
This year’s collection is different in tone from the past. For this list, I thought outside the coffin and collected movies that aren’t necessarily classics but sit in an otherworldly region populated with “guilty pleasures.” I am shining a lit, angry villager torch on movies I think you should be aware of with the hope you might grow to adore them as much as I do.
Of course, an undertaker…taking of this level requires a team effort and for my team I added just one person. Unimpressive team, you say? Ha! Not so! My cohost this year is the creator and big cheese of Monstermania.net and Monster Mania Con, Dave! Yes, just Dave, like Kanye or Cher.
