Tom Papa’s new Netflix series is streaming now. He did one of his (spoiler!) favorite things, and came on The Preston & Steve Show to promote the release.
Although Tom typically talks about being a family man in his past work in his Netflix comedy specials, this time around, her discusses now becoming an empty nester. He says, “You should be happy with where you’re at right now because you only have about twenty good years left.”
He joined Preston & Steve to reflect on the new “Home Free” special. Somewhere in the vast array of other topics that were covered, we uncovered a few of Tom's favorite things from this new chapter in his life. Three things to be exact and they are...
1. Being in a Robe
When Preston and Steve mention Tom hanging out in a robe upon joining the show, Tom says, “guys, this is how I live now. I don't wear clothes anywhere.”
2. Sourdough Bread
As an avid baker, Tom says making sourdough is “sex for me now.” Tom has been making bread for 10 years now and at this point, it’s the only thing keeping him going. He even says he can mail “sourdough starters” to the crew, so they can re-activate it with water.
3. Blue Cap Bic Pens
The Bic pen is an American institution and something that Tom Papa stays loyal to. Not only is Tom a terrific comedian but he also has written a book and has another one in the works. “I’m writing three things at the same time, and I don't know which one is going to take the lead.”

6. This Netflix Special
When you've been doing it for 30 years, and you hear over and over how "your most recent is the best one" you start to believe it. But then you sit alone and think, "man, how bad was I before?"
