The 2023 MMR*B*Q is almost here, and the excitement starting to hit a fever pitch! The biggest party of the summer hits the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion stage this Saturday!
The lineup includes eight fantastic bands this year, including Shinedown, Billy Idol, Larkin Poe, Ayron Jones, Dirty Honey, Finger Eleven, Tigercub and Philadelphia’s own Vixen77! The ladies in Vixen77 are the Local Shots Opener for the big show this weekend, as well as MMR’s Local Shots Artist of the Month for September. I’ll be spinning new tunes from them every Wednesday at 6:30pm on WMMR!
Vixen77 is the perfect act to kick-off the day with their high-energy performance! The bar will definitely be set, as the ladies hit the stage at 1pm on Saturday.
Samantha, Caitlin, Jaz, Sarah & Liz stopped by my show and the MMR Studios to world premiere their brand-new song “Fast Lane,” which is available now everywhere! Check out the visualizer video for “Fast Lane” below.
The ladies in Vixen77 also helped give 0ut some MMR*B*Q tickets at our ticket raid last week at Club Risque in South Philly!

Meet Philadelphia’s own Vixen 77, MMR’s Local Shots Artist of the Month.
This band also describes their music as “a bona fide punch in the face.”
Vixen77 is the creation of guitarist, Caitlin, who dreamt of playing in an all-lady rock band since high school. She had been playing the Philly punk scene for a few years when she decided to put her dream in motion.
In late 2018, the band was formed. It’s a five-piece, all-women band. The name Vixen 77 is a reference to woman energy and the musical influence of late 70s punk.
In a few short months, they were opening for Cherie Currie of The Runaways. In March of 2019, they began pre-production and tracking of their full-length debut album.
Original members Caitlin, bassist Jaz, and guitarist Liz enlisted the services of Sarah Novack on drums and Samantha Joan on vocals.
The band, once again, went into the studio. They recorded their upcoming album, Easy Access, over the course of three days. 72 hours later, they had twelve bangers ready to release into the world. They returned to the stage in January of 2022. They’ve been playing to packed rooms around the Philly area as headliners since they’ve reemerged from the Pandemic.
Rock ‘n’ Roll should be loud, aggressive, fun, and rebellious. That’s exactly what they look to bring to the world. Buckle up.
Vixen77 is:
- Samantha Joan (Vocals/Harmonica)
- Sarah Novack (Drums)
- Elizabeth (Guitar)
- Jaz (Bass)
