More Details on Godsmack’s Plans for 2018
Sully Erna is continuing to thump the drum for Godsmack‘s 2018 plans, which will include “a new sound, a new stage and a new look.”
Erna said during a recent interview that “we have made a conscious decision to kind of change the game a bit. We’re gonna kind of open a new chapter in our career and go for a new sound, a new stage and a new look for the band. We’re gonna change things up enough, maintain the integrity of what we are and what we do.”
Erna added that Godsmack’s new material “is going a little bit more down a commercial, mainstream kind of feel but, again, without losing the power of the stuff that we built our heritage on.”
He had no details about when the album will be released or what else Godsmack has planned for 2018 — its 20th anniversary year — other than “touring our butts off.” The new album will be Godsmack’s first since 1000hp in 2014.
