Greta Van Fleet has been getting some well-deserved attention as of late, but a newly announced gig comes with a major seal of approval from one of music’s biggest icons.
The band shared that they will be performing at the Elton John Foundation’s 26th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party, which is one of Hollywood’s biggest events during award season. Greta Van Fleet wrote in a Facebook post that Sir Elton’s invitation “left us speechless.”
We sincerely hope this means more major gigs for the Michigan band. Hey Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel! Get your sh*t together, and book these guys! And don’t think we aren’t keeping our eye on you, Lorne Michaels! You know Greta Van Fleet would tear it up in studio 8H on Saturday Night Live.
