3 Doors Down is potentially looking to end a nearly four-and-a-half-year new music hiatus this week with the release of a new track.

Singer Brad Arnold appeared on Talkin' Rock with Meltdown and said the track is called "Wicked Man." The track came together rather quickly, and Arnold said he hopes to have it out by the end of this week.

"I've always said can't sit down and write song, but sometimes lyrics will just fall out of sky and hit me in the face. The best songs we've written, that's how they've happened, " said Arnold.

As for what "Wicked Man" is about, Arnold added, "It's not a song that's meant to be political or anything like that. It's just that we can all see with everything going on in the world right now that there are some hands at work that don't necessarily have the common man and woman's best interest in mind. And that and that idea has kind of been in my head for a little while. I think that a lot of people kind of feel the same way. And I just wrote these lyrics down. They weren't hard to write, you know. They're kind of simple, but they say lot to me...I don't care if it's a hit; I just want people to hear it."

The last new release from 3 Doors Down came in March 2016 with their sixth studio album Us and the Night.
