Tobias Forge on Sabbath, ‘Satanized’ Love and a New Ghost Album [Interview]

It was announced by The Clergy today that Ghost's sixth Psalm - or rather, full-length album - SKELETA is set for release on April 25^th via Loma Vista Recordings. The first single from the LP is titled "Satanized," a love song of sorts, described in a press release as "Ghost's most unflinchingly introspective work to date" and more of a personal album for bandleader Tobias Forge. He touches on all of that and more in an interview with WMMR Philadelphia hosted by Brent Porche. Watch their conversation below.

"Satanized" is out today (March 5th) with an official music video accompaniment that unveils the new Papa: Papa V Perpetua. For the first time in the band's history, all of the Ghouls are unmasked in the video. The new papal robe and costume are amazingly cool!

With the new album comes massive world tour and graphic novel/comic series. The Sister Imperator comic, the first of a 4 part series, also arrives today with 3 more to follow, in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics.

Ghost's 2025 World Tour will be making a stop at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Saturday July 19th. Tickets are on sale now, and MMR's official Concert Calendar has the details. Brent and Tobias also touch on Ghost's 2024 theatrical concert film Rite Here, Rite Now and all that went into the "behind the scenes-scenes" of the film which is available now on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD, with the official soundtrack available on double black vinyl.

Last, but certainly not least, we touch on Papa V Perpetua's upcoming participation in the massive "Back to the Beginning" concert. The fest will be Ozzy Osbourne's final live performance in Birmingham, England over the summer with fellow icons of metal, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira and many others! All profits of the show will be shared equally between Cure Parkinsons, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acon Children's Hospice. Tobias speaks about how much Black Sabbath and the Prince of Darkness influenced him in the interview below.
