The Project Blue Light Memorial ride was created 10 years ago by Vince Gibson who lost his brother, PPD Det. Joe Gibson, to suicide in 2010. The event has since grown to become The Blue Lives Project 8105. The goal of the ride is to honor all officers and first responders who lost their lives to suicide. This year, the ride will be dedicated to Philadelphia Police Department Captain Brian Hartzell #9 of the 6th District, End of Watch 10/09/23.

This ride is not a race! It will consist of a 10 and 20 mile route starting from the Police Academy. It will be escorted by police, and the route will be around Northeast Philadelphia. This event will also include a Mental Health and Wellness Family Fair at the Academy from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

The fair will be a fun filled day of education, bounce houses, music and more.
