Weird Museum In London Will Make Your Jaw Drop

Heading to London? You definitely need to add Viktor Wynd’s Museum of Curiosities to the must-visit list.

The museum, which looks unsuspecting from the storefront, has some of the weirdest items on display.

Owned by Viktor Wynd, the museum has curiosities like animal skulls all the way to Amy Winehouse’s poop. Yes, that is right, the curator of this museum managed to get his hands on a very personal item of the departed singer.

We are not too sure we want to know how he collected the item. However, he does charge an additional fee for customers who want to whiff the jar. No joke.

As reported by The Guardian, some other items that are on display include: mummified cats, a two-headed lamb, and a variety of jarred specimens. Mind you, this list barely scratches the surface of what the museum includes. There are a series of other items guaranteed to make your jaw drop.

Wynd had a reason as to why he collects such interesting items. He told Barcroft TV “I think I’m probably rather bored and depressed, so anything that makes my eyes sparkle and wakes me up and distracts me from the inanity of life gives me joy.”

Originally intended to be a joke when he opened the store in 2009, he found people really enjoying the small space. Wynd told the Huffington Post “In the beginning, it was meant to be a bogus curiosity shop, an attack on shops from one who hates shops and shopping, stuffed with incredibly useless and revolting things, staffed by actors who would perform a script on unsuspecting customers.”

Currently, the shop has over 500 visitors each week. Needless to say, the once joke ended up turning into a career. According to the museum’s website, it is only open Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm to 10:30pm. Admission is only five euros, but includes a guidebook as well as a cup of tea.
