Marilyn Manson Announces Album Release Date, Drops New Track
We know a little more about Marilyn Manson‘s new album now.
The shock rocker has announced an October 6 release date for Heaven Upside Down, his follow-up to 2015’s Pale Emperor. Manson has also released the set’s first single, “We Know Where You F**ing Live,” as well as the album cover.
Manson told Rolling Stone last year that the set is “not very much in any way like ‘The Pale Emperor.’ The people who have heard the new songs said it reminded them of ‘Antichrist Superstar’ and ‘Mechanical Animals’ — but with a new, different approach. It’s pretty violent in its nature for some reason. It’s not emotional in the same way. It’s got a chip on its shoulder. I can’t wait for people to hear it — I think they’re going to be quite surprised.”
Manson begins a North American tour on September 27 in Silver Spring, Md., that includes several festival dates ending at Slipknot‘s Knotfest on November 5. Manson will be in Europe during November and early December.
