P&S Interview the Inspirational People Behind “Wonder”

A little over 5 years ago, my flight from Boston to Philadelphia was cancelled.  Rather than wait for 5 or 6 hours in the airport for another flight home, I decided to rent a car and drive me and my wife home.  She needed to buy a book before we hit the road, "something to keep her busy during the 7 hour road trip."  That was the first time I had heard of the book called “Wonder” by RJ Palacio.  

My wife was blown away with the story.  She could not put the book down.  She finished the book before we even arrived at our home.  All along the ride, she would stop reading to fill me in on what had happened.  

Fast forward 5 years, I see a trailer for a movie called Wonder.  My 11 year old daughter says, “hey, I read that book”!  I had no idea that this wonderful story had become required reading for some 5th grade classes.  My son, who is in 5th grade now, is currently reading this book.  He, my daughter and my wife have all listened to the interview… because they really wanted to hear how and why RJ wrote Wonder… and how and why Stephen Chobosky decided to direct the movie.  It was a very heart felt interview that I hope you enjoy.
