We are "Top 5" nervous about this news.

Per Deadline.com, Disney is working on a TV adaptation for its new streaming service inspired by the 1995 Nick Hornby novel High Fidelity which was adapted into the 2000 film of the same name that starred John Cusack and Jack Black.

The new series will see a gender reversal with a woman playing the lead role of a romantically challenged record store owner, but that's really the only bit of good news about this project.  The TV adaptation will be aimed at teens and be more "family friendly," which is a drastic change from the book and especially the swear-happy R-rated film.

High Fidelity ends up having a happy ending, but there is an overall gloom to the story as a whole.  It certainly isn't a traditional rom-com, which is what the TV version might end up being.

In the meantime, we'll continue to be "Top 5" nervous.
