Green Day's Mike Dirnt celebrates his birthday today (May 4), and with the telecast of the 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony premiering tomorrow night at 8 PM ET on HBO, we thought we'd look back at some artists that made history with their own inductions.

Below is a gallery of artists in the past decade or so who were inducted into the Rock Hall the first year they were eligible.  One thing is for certain:  It's amazing just how much time has passed since some of these acts were inducted.  Seems like only yesterday they were getting their due!
