Electric Factory Name and Iconic Ben Franklin Logo to be Retired
“It’s cool to share a birthday with someone,” that’s how the WMMR family felt about the iconic Electric Factory.
Both iconic institutions turned 50 years old this year. The hallways of our radio station are plastered with tickets stubs and concert posters baring the famous phrase Electric Factory Presents.

Today ends an era in this city’s musical history. The concert venue has been sold to AEG and will undergo a complete rebranding, dropping the name and logo.
The building is currently operating under the name North Seventh but seeking out new suggestions. Fans can submit their ideas by visiting northseventhphilly.com and see the current lineup of shows (all concerts originally scheduled under EFC are still on the calendar)
