“Retirement, day two, life is good!” Scott Hartnell checks in with Preston & Steve
No more strict diet and regimen for Scott Hartnell. The former NHL player is enjoying life… so far… after retirement by playing tennis and helping father his new born son, Kenneth.
During our conversation this morning, Scotty touched on why he felt it was time to retire and why the decision was an easy one after spending 17 years in the NHL. The Flyers alum talked about why his best years were the seven he spent playing in Philly, and, since his wife’s family is here, a return to the City of Brotherly Love could be in the cards – especially if the team were to offer him a position in the front office or in the booth. (hint, hint)
If you had any doubt, the answer is YES, Scott has seen Gritty and YES, he noticed the similarities. That’s probably what made him such a big fan, “that video of him dancing with the Phanatic was great!” But Hartsy’s proudest moment of the week so far has been the plethora of deadly fart stories that his former teammates have shared.
