Reminder: Bruce Springsteen Works Out at a $9.99/Month Gym
Bruce Springsteen just celebrated his 70th birthday, and among the many tributes to “The Boss” was this reminder that icon known for his marathon concerts is staying in shape thanks to a gym that only costs $9.99 per month.
Springsteen told The New Yorker in 2012 that he keeps in shape by running on a treadmill and lifting weights with a trainer, a routine he’s done the past three decades.
The New York Post adds that seven years later little has changed stating, “Most recently, he’s been sweating at Jersey Strong gym (the re-branded Workout World) in Marlboro, N.J., where he’s seemingly sticking to that same old routine: treadmill and weights. Hear about that boutique fitness devotees who are going into debt just to pay for pricey classes that keep them in their size two jeans? Springsteen has found the fountain of youth in a mega gym that charges $9.99 a month.”
Want proof? Consequence of Sound gathered tweets from gym goers that ran into Springsteen, who then kindly posed for a photo. What a guy!
