The Pretty Reckless Release Halloween Song ‘Broomsticks,’ Tease Announcement
The Pretty Reckless are clearly in the Halloween spirit with their new song “Broomsticks,” whose video might also contain a tease of an upcoming announcement.
“Broomsticks” is less than a minute long and comes with a delightful animated video full of black cats, witches and other iconic Halloween imagery. Singer Taylor Momsen sings over the spooky track,
“Broomsticks, tombs in graveyards loom
Tall hats, black cats, cauldrons, brew
We fly by the light of the full moon
Watch your neck when wolfsbane starts to bloom”
Just as the video comes to a close, the date “11/13/20” flashes, and then the video cuts to black. Could this be when the band announces the release of their new album, Death By Rock and Roll? The album’s title track was released in May, but Momsen said the album was pushed back to 2021 largely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The album also features appearances by Soundgarden’s Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello and is the follow-up to their 2016 LP Who You Selling For.
