We're nearing the end of summer, but that doesn't mean it's the end of burger season. I mean, burger season happens year-round. Do you know what's even better than a juicy burger? An equally juice cheeseburger, of course.

The staff at Yelp.com has put together a list of the best cheeseburgers in America, and one Pennsylvania spot made the list. "Some say sweet dreams are made of cheeseburgers, and we couldn't agree more," Yelp.com states. "Thick and juicy, thin and crispy, slapped between a fluffy moist bun and topped with ooey gooey cheese, there’s nothing like the perfect cheeseburger to get your mouth watering and your tummy rumbling. We’ve compiled the top place from each state to get the dreamiest cheeseburgers. Slap on your stretchy pants and grab your ketchup, it's time to explore the top place in each state to grab a cheeseburger."

As for methodology, the list of the top cheeseburger in every state comes straight from Yelp data. "We identified businesses in the food and restaurants category on Yelp, with a large concentration of reviews mentioning 'cheeseburger,' then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning 'cheeseburger' between January 1, 2022 and July 15, 2022," they state. "This list looked at businesses in the United States. All businesses were marked open on Yelp as of July 27, 2022. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of July 27, 2022."

So, what's No. 1 in Pennsylvania? Route 66 in Lancaster. That's not super close, but definitely without road trip distance. The restaurant has more than 100 reviews on Yelp a current rating of 4.5 stars, so it's obviously a favorite. One local reviewer, Jordan H., commented, "Super cute, affordable, local restaurant! This is my second time stopping in so far and the food is still excellent, staff is very kind, and the inside is comfortable..." Find the full list here.

Pennsylvania has claim to a range of beautiful parks and outdoor areas that are a major tourist attraction for locals and those outside of the state. It's easy to find state parks, campgrounds and outdoor recreation areas throughout the state, which makes it simple to find outdoor things to do in Pennsylvania.

What makes Pennsylvania extra special is that many of its national parks are designated historical sites with outdoor activities, trails and more. Pennsylvania has a whopping 121 state parks, 19 national parks and seven National Heritage Areas. The very first Pennsylvania state park at Valley Forge opened back in 1893. It was given to the National Park Service for America's bicentennial in 1976. We apparently have lots of land, too, as Pennsylvania is the 33rd largest state, but only two states have more park land: Alaska and California.

For some more park trivia, according to the DCNR, the 121 state parks in Pennsylvania comprise more than 283,000 acres of land and employ more than 600 full-time and more than 1,600 part-time employees. Roughly 36 million people visit Pennsylvania's state parks each year. Admission to all Pennsylvania state parks is free, but you'll have to pay to use cabins and other special areas. The majority of the parks are open from sunrise to sunset, 365 days of the year. That said, make sure to check the park your visiting first to make sure they are open.

Even though winter is on the way, we still have a little bit of summer left, plus fall is a beautiful time to take a hike at a state park. I've even been known to go on hikes in the winter at state parks. The cold months can be beautiful with the white snow. Read on for 10 Pennsylvania state parks that will take your breath away.
