Freddy D's House Party of Horrors

Halloween season has become one of my most favorite times of year! Last year, I was asked to host M. Night Shyamalan’s Shyamaween event in the City (pictured). Had an absolute blast!

This year I went to a party on Philadelphia’s famous Moshulu, down by Penn’s Landing – produced by Sad & Boujee – and hosted by the one and only Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit! Yup!

I had no idea what to expect… other than a costume party on a boat, what else was going to happen? Limp Bizkit concert? Phillies beating the Padres postgame party? A lot of dancing and partying? Turned out to be a bunch of all the above!

Moshulu

The guests started boarding the boat a little before 10pm… the Phillies game wasn’t over yet, so the night started as a watch party. As the boat filled up, the game ended, and the music began. Hits from Blink-182 to Drake to The Killers echoed throughout the boat.  It was a little after 11pm when the crowd erupted for the arrival of the guest of honor Freddy D!

Fred Durst

Durst came out in a blue wig and handlebar moustache greeting the crowd to Limp Bizkit’s latest single “Dad Vibes” off their Halloween Day 2021 release ‘Still Sucks’ – the crowd went nuts!

From there, the DJ played everything from Britney Spears to Deftones to N*Sync to Korn – There were full-on mosh pits during Britney’s “Oops, I Did it Again” & N*Sync’s “Bye, Bye, Bye”.  Freddy D also belted out the lyrics to Korn’s Blind & Deftones’ “My Own Summer (Shove it)” which was super cool!

If you were expecting a Limp Bizkit show, this wasn’t it. Hearing a bit of “Dad Vibes” at the beginning of the night and “N2Gether Now” was cool… though I wish we got some more LB.

Freddy D Signing Autographs

Durst singed everything that was put in front of him… Phillies hats, Yankees hats, Vans shoes, Halloween masks, you name it.  You could tell Freddy D was having a blast, giving lots of love to the crowd, the city of Philadelphia and of course our Fightin’s! I hope he does this again next year… and in Philly! It was a blast! Shout out to Sad and Boujee for putting on a great event!
