How an Act of Kindness Got a Mother & Son to Saturday Night’s Eagles Game
Amongst the thousands of Eagles fans in attendance at their play-off game against the Giants this past Saturday, a mother and son who were there did not know that was going to be the case until crossing paths with a man on a mission to spread kindness earlier in the day.
Zachery Dereniowski is better known as MD Motivator on social media, rewarding strangers with their willingness to help him with large amounts of cash. He has garnered nearly 10 billion views across Instagram and TikTok, with many of his followers donating to his cause. Zachery has said that what he does is “universal. Doesn’t matter the language barrier, doesn’t matter the human…[W]e all can connect.”
On the fateful Saturday, Zachery asked a mother and Philadelphia native named Breanne for some change, telling her he did not have enough to catch a bus. He took time to talk to her young son Mason, learning from him that both of them are Eagles fans that had never been to a game and hoped to attend one in the future.
Breanne was not initially able to provide Zachery with change, so she walked over to her car to get some for him. After doing so, Zachery returned it to her and gave her and her son a reward of their dreams. Mason and Breanne, who told Zachery her reason for helping was because she hates telling people no and always helps others when she can, received $500 and tickets to the Eagles game later that night!
The tear-jerking video shared by Zachery and the Eagles’ Instagram page shows Mason getting to step on the field of Lincoln Financial and meet the players. With an infectious smile, Mason notably got a pair of gloves signed by C.J. Gardner-Johnson and posed for a picture with him. The two ended the video with the sentiment shared by all Philadelphia football fans ahead of the rest of the play-offs: Go Eagles!
