Hear Both Sides of ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ on Vinyl with Pierre Robert
Listen to MMR on Wednesday at 2pm as Pierre marks the 50th anniversary of the Pink Floyd album by playing the vinyl version live on air

This Wednesday (3/1) is the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's psychedelic masterpiece The Dark Side of the Moon. The band will mark the occasion with an elaborate box set, and we've got our own plans to celebrate at MMR the best way we know how: with vinyl.
Every weekday around 2:15pm, Pierre Robert cues up the Vinyl Cut - real, live vinyl on the radio. Tomorrow, we'll bump that up to 2pm (Pierre... early for something?). He'll drop the needle on Side 1 and let it spin all the way through - snaps, crackles and pops included - and follow that with Side 2.
WMMR has been playing these tracks since they were brand new in 1973, but this full album play-through will be something special. Listen live in your car, at work or wherever you can open the MMR App - and drift away, if you so choose.

A number of classic albums celebrate their golden anniversary in 2023. Among the artists with LPs turning 50 in New Year are Pink Floyd, Elton John, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street band and more!
