In-depth Interview With The Creators of Jersey Metal
JERSEY METAL A History of the Garden State’s Heavy Metal Scene
VOLUME ONE (1969-1986)
Thank you to Don Jamieson (The Jamieson Show) for sharing this video! Podcaster and rock & roll comedian, Don Jamieson, interviewed Frank White and Alan Tecchio the authors of JERSEY METAL A History of the Garden State’s Heavy Metal Scene.
So many great memories if you grew up in this time period!
Frank White got into photography when he was six because his Mom was a photographer. By the time he was a teen he was taking photos of bands. Alan Tecchio was a singer in many of those bands! This book is an autobiographical perspective of New Jersey’s Heavy Metal music history. Writing, photos, ads, interviews and band bios are inside. The artwork in the book is tremendous. Raised letters and ads. A silver finish to many of the ads. Alan did the layout and the design of the book.
