Can You Handle The Ultimate Mullet Inception? Cheddar Wiz Meets John Kruk

Kid Mullet Nominee and huge Phillies fan got to meet one hero and watch another show out on Tuesday afternoon. Rory was in attendance for the first game of the Phillies’ doubleheader against the Washington Nationals when he was spotted by friend of the show and Vanderpump aficionado Taryn Hatcher. She recognized him from his appearance on The Preston & Steve Show and decide that “I’ve got to bring this kid in to meet John Kruk!”  

Rory and his family got to meet Phillies legend and broadcaster John Kruk, who did indeed boast “one of the most iconic mullets in Philadelphia history” as a member of the beloved 1993 Phillies. John and the rest of that squad surely served as an inspiration for Cheddar Wiz’s impressive hair, because he and his family rewatch the legendary team all the time. He told John that he’d spend the $5000 reward for a first-place finish on chicken wings and a llama for his sister, which John was pretty into (the wings part, at least!). 

After meeting John, Rory watched the game and got to see his favorite player Kyle Schwarber hit 2 huge home runs to help secure an 8-4 victory over the Nats, capping off a memorable day for the 6-year-old Mullet Champ hopeful. 

Cheddar Wiz’s appearance on The Preston & Steve Show and local news has helped galvanize Philly to rally behind him and make him the top vote getter in the Mullet Champ competition, but in order to win he still needs help in the standings with donations.
