USA Today's 10Best has compiled a list of the ten best fall festivals across the United States. They had a group of experts put forward the nominees. Then, their editors narrowed it down to the final ones. From there, readers got to have their say and vote on the ultimate winners.
You'll find fall festivals from various locations on their list, including Woodstock in Virginia, San Antonio in Texas, Cortland in New York, and even a Pennsylvania fall festival that made it into their top ten.
Which Pennsylvania fall festival ranked in the top 10?
Claiming the tenth position on their list is the National Apple Harvest Festival in Biglerville. The ranking highlighted the festival's food, arts and crafts, craft demonstrations, live music, and family entertainment that has been a staple since 1965. According to the National Apple Harvest Festival website, it’s celebrated the first two weekends in October. Located at 615 Narrows Road, Biglerville.

An outstanding aspect of this festival, as mentioned on their website, is how it gives back to the community and various charitable organizations. Specifically, 49% of the proceeds contribute to the funding of Oakside Community Park, a 92-acre park located in Biglerville. The Upper Adams Jaycees, who sponsor the festival, receive 20% to support their diverse projects, including a community Easter Egg Hunt, park movie nights, providing food and gifts to less fortunate families during Christmas, and donations to other organizations and local families in need. Additionally, 20% of the earnings are donated to civic groups, schools, churches, scouting organizations, fire companies, and others in the community. Furthermore, 11% is reserved to handle emergencies and help kickstart the next year's festival.
All admission tickets include parking in one of several parking fields and shuttle bus or wagon service to the festival grounds.
