Flashback to May, 2010: Awkward Casey is Awkward.
A casual moment between friends earlier this week just became the highlight of everyone’s gloomy morning.
Out of the blue, Preston turned to Casey and said something like, “do you remember the video of you, at a Preston & Steve Painfully Single Mixer being awkward?” They spent a few minutes looking for it, struck out and moved on.
It was days later, Kathy relayed a totally unrelated story about talking to a person in the bathroom line at Reeds in Blue Bell during a Mixer and the intrigue was sparked again. Preston brought up his excitement for finding this video, but this time the whole crew was on it.
Moments later, we dug up the video below. And it’s just as great as Preston remembered.
Awkward Casey is Awkward.
It’s a silly, moment in time. But doing this show together for almost 26 years has giving us a TON of those moments. We have a lot history, and a lot of forgotten history. This video falls into the latter and the joy of remembering them out of the blue is still thrilling.
Okay, that’s enough cheesy nostalgia. Here’s the video. The backstory? Not much. Our videographer, Nick Murphy was covering a Preston & Steve Painfully Single Mixer. Casey caught Murph’s attention with an awkward look, then it turned into a thing.
