From about 1986 to 1991, WMMR would broadcast live from London via satellite once a year. In November of ’86, John DeBella was in London doing a week of shows from Capital Radio Studios (‘The Professor’ Kevin Gunn also traveled to London to produce these broadcasts). Peter Gabriel stopped by, and they recorded an interview in one of the larger rooms in the studios, which happened to have a grand piano in it. At the end of the interview DeBella invited Gabriel to do a song. The Patron Saint elected to sit at the piano and play “Here Comes The Flood”, the closing track on his debut solo album, which had arrived almost a decade earlier.
