Godsmack frontman Sully Erna was inspired to create the Scars Foundation after experiencing a string of losses that hit close to home. Sully called WMMR to talk to Sara about why he felt compelled to give back, and what the Scars Foundation will do to shine a light to mental health, addiction and other issues.
Sully also told us about meeting Neil Peart, incorporating new sounds into the latest Godsmack album When Legends Rise, how the songs he wrote 20 years ago have taken on new meanings over time, and how much the band loves their pre-show dance parties…
Learn more about the Scars Foundation on Godsmack’s website, and catch them live in Atlantic City this summer!
