"You know what I like about Philadelphia, is that you act like at any second, you could throw batteries at Santa Claus at an Eagles game!"

In any other instance, this statement might make a Philly crowd turn for the worse, but when it's coming from Mark Hoppus, you can't help but accept such a twisted compliment. It's the type of good-natured ribbing we've come to expect from Blink-182 for almost thirty years now.

The pop-punk kings sold out the Big Joint last Friday, and it was the "biggest arena show of the tour," as confirmed by the band on stage. In their time together, the trio have weathered major illness, lineup changes, and even a plane crash. Pack on the general wear and tear of life and aging, and it's enough to make anyone lose their sense of humor.

Not for Mark, Tom and Travis. Impish as ever, their playful banter filled the spaces in a jam-packed setlist, usually trading jabs back and forth between each other. Every song had crowd backup, from the pogo-inducing "First Date" to the more somber "I Miss You." As WMMR's Ryan put it, it was "an evening filled with heartwarming moments and juvenile antics in equal measure, which shows how far these three friends have come."
