Alter Bridge brought their ‘Pawns & Kings’ 2023 tour to the Franklin Music Hall part of an ‘MMR Concert event! Wolfy & MammothWVH along with the band RED opened the show. It is hard to believe that the last time Alter Bridge was in Philly was back in 2019, when they were touring in support of their previous studio album ‘Walk The Sky’. Myles Kennedy was a bit under the weather for the 2019 tour at The Met Philly. Mark Tremonti even mentioned to the audience, that Myles had never (ever) missed an Alter Bridge show for any reason up until that point. Thankfully, this time around, Myles was sounding as wonderful as ever, as was the rest of the fellas in AB! MammothWVH totally rocked the FMH stage as well, Wolfgang Van Halen has really become quite the bandleader and frontman. The band’s performances continue to get better and better every time I get to see them live.
Here are a few of my shots (and a video) that I captured from Alter Bridge’s most recent show here in Philadelphia. And if you get a chance, check out their new album ‘Pawns & Kings’, out now via Napalm Records.
