Grandparents’ Day is celebrated to show the bond between grandparents and grandchildren. Arbor Terrace in Mt. Laurel celebrated Grandparents on Sunday, September 10, 2023, with The Mummers!
Guests got invited to embark on an exhilarating journey at the Grandparents’ Day Folk Festival. We had captivating music, engaging activity stations, and epic pie-eating contests. Guests could also treat themselves to delectable refreshments and explore our merchant tables for handmade gifts.
It all capped off with a show-stopping performance by the sensational “MUMMERS!” And I happened to be part of that outstanding crew. The always amazing Uptown String Band and I played and strutted to “Fly Eagles Fly” on Eagles Sunday.
We wanted to make the day unforgettable for the residents and guests at Arbor Terrace. It truly was!
I wore my Mummers best. My suit was created by Del Buono Costumes (Al and Yvonne DelBuono). The suit is called “Jester’s Court,” and won first place in 2020.
It was an awesome day. I’m always carrying that inner Mummer with me, but he likes to stretch his legs every once and a while. Did I mention, it’s only just over 100 days until New Year’s Day??
