MMRBQ returns to Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on September 21, 2024.
The whole radio station turns up to eleven on the day of the MMRBQ. MMR is are set up outside of the pavilion welcoming music lovers into the venue. Our DJs are broadcasting live from the plaza with appearances from our favorite rock stars right before or after they hit the stage.
Brent Porche holds down the broadcast tent, Jacky Bam Bam rocks out on his Party Deck, Preston & Steve added a whole side stage and Pierre Robert wanders around every inch of the venue from the tip top to the edge of the stage.
MMRBQ lineups have something for everyone. We invite a menagerie bands that together remind you what MMR is all about: EVERYTHING THAT ROCKS!
Every year we meet people who have been to every single MMRBQ, and folks attending their first one ever. And the amount of people, young and old, who tell us that MMRBQ is their first concert ever warms our rock fueled souls.
The history of the show goes back to 2007. That’s when the decision-makers at MMR decided to put on a concert with a bunch of our favorite bands and all our friends (you!). After that, it became an annual tradition to open up the summer concert season with our biggest party of the year! Just like any good party, it’s gone through some changes over the year to keep it fresh. One year we opened and closed the concert season. Who remembers the giant light switch at the end of the second show? Of course we took off a season during the pandemic. And somewhere in there, the show moved from Spring to Fall.
