The Bourse
111 South Independence Mall E. Philadelphia
The Bourse in Philadelphia is a historic building that has been repurposed into a food hall and marketplace. The building was originally built in 1895 as a commodities exchange, and it was one of the first buildings in the United States to be constructed with a steel frame. The Bourse closed as a commodities exchange in the 1960s. It sat vacant for several years before it was renovated and reopened as a food hall in 2018.
Home to a variety of different vendors, the Bourse offers a variety of cuisines, including American, Asian, European, and Latin American food. The food hall also has a number of bars and shops, making it a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. Places to get some great food include Abunai Poke, Art Star at the Bourse, Bricco Pizza Pomana, Freebyrd Chicken, Grubehouse, Marino Brother’s Cheesesteaks, Menagerie Coffee, Rebel Taco, Rustica Rosticceria and Scoop Deville.
The Bourse is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Old City. It is within walking distance of Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Betsy Ross House.
