Tumblr fans and users who were upset about the site banning adult content may have found a savior in the form of Pornhub.

BuzzFeed News reports that Pornhub Vice President Corey Price says the porn streaming site is "extremely interested" in buying Tumblr, which is currently owned by Verizon. The adult content ban began in December 2018. Per SimilarWeb, Tumblr site visits have plummeted since the ban from 521 million to 369 million between December 2018 and February 2019.

Price told BuzzFeed News, "Tumblr was a safe haven for those who wanted to explore and express their sexuality, adult entertainment aficionados included. We’ve long been dismayed that such measures were taken to eradicate erotic communities on the platform, leaving many individuals without an asylum through which they could comfortably peruse adult content."

There have been rumors about Pornhub's plans to purchase Tumblr since the band took place. Pornhub's Twitter shared the following message shortly after the ban news broke: "Tumblrs: Pornhub welcomes you with open arms. Join our amazing community of millions. Curators: Customize your personal feed, create playlists, generate gifs and more. Creators: Upload videos, photos, gifs & share text posts to a massive audience. Earn revenue on your content."
