Shocking Video Shows Cavalcante Escape From Prison
You have to see this shocking video that shows Danelo Cavalcante’s escape from prison.
It is day eight of the manhunt for convicted killer Danelo Cavalcante. Cavalcante escaped from the Chester County Prison on August 31st. Why was he in prison? He was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend by stabbing her over 30 times.
According to 6abc, the acting warden of the prison, Howard Holland, showed a video during a press conference yesterday that showed exactly how the killer escaped the prison. and this video is going to blow your mind.
Watch Cavalcante escape
In the video, Cavalcante put his hands on one wall and his feet on another and did what authorities are calling a “crab walk” between two walls. (But, if you’ve ever watched American Ninja Warrior you know it’s a spider climb.) The top of the walls is out of frame, but Holland explained that the walls lead to the roof of the prison where Cavalcante’s small, 5-foot frame passed through razor wire and escaped.

Pretty sneaky and pretty ingenious, but Cavalcante’s escape method is not original. His escape was actually the second time that an inmate has escaped the same prison using the spider climb method … this year! According to a criminal complaint obtained by ABC News, Igor Vidra Bolte broke out of the same prison on May 19th by doing the exact same thing. Bolte was recaptured just minutes after escaping. In the current situation, however, Holland said it was almost an hour before prison officials realized Cavalcante was even gone.
Yes, there was a guard on duty in the watchtower overlooking the prison yard. No, he didn’t see Cavalcante’s escape. Yes, he has been placed on leave pending an investigation.
Where is he now?
Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bevins said at yesterday’s press conference that there was another sighting of the escaped killer Tuesday night, and he believes that Cavalcante is still in the search area police are focused on.
For a more colorful explanation of the events, watch Alexander Pearlman explain it. Pearlman is a podcaster and social media … sensation:
