People born in July are either a Cancer (July 1 – July 22) or a Leo (July 23 – July 31). For a little more than half of the month, Cancers take charge. Represented by the crab, this water sign is ruled by the moon. Cancers are known to be emotional and nurturing people and usually tend to be the caregivers of the people in their lives. Compassionate with a goofy sense of humor, you can rely on Cancers to be in tune with their emotions.

July Cancer Traits

Cancers born in July tend to have a more mysterious quality about them than their June counterparts. That makes these crabs a little harder to read, thanks to these dreamy and secretive influences of Neptune and Pluto. July-born Cancers are also more protective of their feelings and sensitive hearts, making it harder to get to know them at first.

Leos, on the other hand, is a fire sign, represented by the ferocious lion. The king of the jungle begins its reign on July 23rd. Opposite to Cancers, Leos are ruled by the sun and with that, usually love becomes the center of attention. They are passionate and theatrical, so it makes sense that a lot of successful actors on this list have found success. This sign brings about natural leaders who are known to be loyal, putting their hearts into every endeavor. However, these positive, strong traits can be impaired by their ego, pride, and jealousy when they start to fear threatened.

July Leo Traits

Leos born in July tend to be the most stereotypical Leos than their August counterparts. This means that July Leos have characteristics involving drama, creativity, confidence, courageousness, and a strong craving for attention. Of their love for attention, July-born Leos are naturally charismatic and have trouble remaining humble.
