Blobfest: Phoenixville’s Colonial Theatre Celebrates 25 Years

Every year since 1999 The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania hosts a one-of-a-kind event that draws fans from all over the country, if not the world. It stars Steve McQueen as a young man who, along with his girlfriend, witness an object fall from space and land close by. The mass from outer space travels from town to town and devours life along its path. It is indestructible and wreaking havoc everywhere it goes. Other notable scenes, according to MovieLocations.com, include Doc Hallen's home on the corner of North Main Street and 3rd Ave in Phoenixville, Barkley Elementary School on 2nd Ave, and the Downingtown Diner on Lancaster Ave in Downingtown.
