The MMR*B*Q is officially in the books, and it was definitely one for the books!
This year’s all-day festival was just the third time in over 16 years of MMR*B*Q’s that we held our massive MMR Concert Event at the end of the summer rather than in the middle of May. Mother Nature was smiling down on us in beautiful, tropical, downtown Camden, New Jersey, as she delivered some of the most amazing weather and temperatures that we have had all summer.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in person at the show or listened on-air or online to our complete concert coverage. All of us at WMMR truly appreciate your friendship!
Over the next week or so, I am going to be sharing some of my favorite pictures and videos from this year’s MMR*B*Q on my show page at WMMR.com. Be sure to come back and visit this page daily to see all the fun that was had, with some cool, behind-the-scenes access to all the wonderful mayhem that was the 2023 MMR*B*Q.
Ayron Jones was a crowd favorite on Saturday, touring in support of his brand-new album Chronicles of the Kid. Sara and I had the opportunity to do the stage intro for Ayron and the fells. Then, they rocked the stage and the Camden crowd with tunes spanning his over decade long career.
Special shoutout to Ayron’s bassist Bob Lovelace. The South Jersey native has nothing but love for his hometown station WMMR. He is always thrilled to come home and play in front of his family and friends. He’s got more energy in his pinkly finger up on stage than many have in their whole bodies.
He’s always bouncing around having an absolute blast while entertaining the masses. He even sported a 2023 MMR*B*Q tee shirt during the performance, which you can see in the pictures below.
Always a highlight no matter the stage, Ayron Jones and his band are a must-see live! Check back later this week for clips from the interview Sara and I did with Ayron Jones backstage at this year’s MMR*B*Q.
