One of my favorite heavy metal holiday traditions has arrived – Trans-Siberian Orchestra is back in town for a bunch of shows this weekend! TSO has been bringing their hard-rocking holiday extravaganza to the masses since 1999, founded in 1996 by producer, composer, and lyricist Paul O’Neill, who brought in Al Pitrelli & Jon Oliva (both members of the heavy metal band Savatage) and keyboardist/co-producer Rob Kinkel to form what would eventually become Trans-Siberian Orchestra. TSO has sold well over 10 million albums worldwide and even more tickets to their live shows.

It’s great to see children and adults of all ages come to shows like this, especially the older folks that may not entirely know what TSO all is about. Many assume that it’s just your standard holiday show… soon after the curtain goes up, the shredding metal guitars start ripping through all of your favorite Christmas tunes – you would almost think it was Iron Maiden up there or something! Definitely bring some ear plugs! And of course, there is plenty of PYRO!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra is bringing their 2022 Winter Tour: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve to the PPL Center in Allentown Friday December 16th, featuring 2 shows – 3pm & 7:30pm. Then on Sunday December 18th, TSO rocks 2 shows at the Wells Fargo Center – 3pm & 7:30pm – tickets remain for all shows – wmmr.com has the details.
